New Player Protection System
What is this?
Legend Killers protects new zombie players from being instantly killed by high-level veterans. This gives you time to learn the game and have fun!
How It Works
When a veteran player attacks a protected zombie, damage is automatically reduced.
Result: It takes about 20 headshots (or 40 body shots) to kill a protected zombie, no matter how strong the attacker is.
Who Is Protected?
You are
PROTECTED if:
- Your level is below 330
- You have no resets
- You are currently a zombie
- You are NOT a special class (Nemesis, Assassin, etc.)
Who Is a Veteran?
You are a
VETERAN if:
- Your level is 330 or higher, OR
- You have any resets
Veterans deal reduced damage to protected zombies.

FAQ
"Why can't I kill this zombie quickly?"
If you're a veteran attacking a low-level zombie, your damage is capped to give them a fair chance. Working as intended!
"Am I invincible as a new player?"
No! You can still be killed - it just takes more hits. Other new players deal full damage to you, and sustained fire from veterans will still kill you.
"Does protection work when I'm human?"
No, protection only applies when you're a zombie.
"I reset - why did I lose protection?"
Resetting means you're experienced. Anyone with resets is considered a veteran.
Tips for New Players
- Stick with other zombies - safety in numbers!
- Use cover - sustained fire still hurts
- Learn your zombie abilities
- Focus on infecting humans
- By level 330, you'll be ready to compete!
